PARENT PORTAL

Parenting is a great joy, but it is also a HUGE responsibility.

At Hope Church, we want to help support you as you lead your family spiritually.

As a parent, you are responsible for so much that happens in your kids lives – where they go to school, what they ate for breakfast this morning, whether they took a bath recently, etc. On top of all of that, you are also responsible for their spiritual well being: do they know God? Does my child know why God made him or her? Does my child know what God’s plan is for them?

At Hope Church, we also know that you (rightly so) have questions for us, question such as: how do I know my child will be safe at Hope Church? What is there for my family at Hope Church? How do I get my kids involved?

To help answer some of these questions, please see our “Parent Answers” below. And if you have any other questions, please feel free to give us a call at (952) 431-6500. Thanks for checking out what Hope Church has to offer your family!

  FAQ’s
I'd like to come to the Worship Service, but I have little ones in my family. What are my options?
First of all – thank you for bringing your children with you to Hope Church! We’ve got a few options for you:

Nursery LogoNursery (Ages 0-3)

Our nursery is staffed and available for children ages 3 and under. If you would like to watch the service, but also want to stay with your child, you are welcome to stay in the nursery and watch the service from the TV.

Kingdom Kids

Our Kingdom Kids (aka Children’s Church) program is for kids ages 4-12. A special invitation is given for this during the service, so you won’t have to wonder when your kids can go.

We also want you to know that if you would like your children to stay with you during the worship service, they are more than welcome to stay in the sanctuary.

Other than during Worship Services, what else is there for my kids at Hope Church?
Great question – and we think we have some great answers for you!

Special Events

At different points throughout the year, Hope Church will have special events for families with kids of all ages. Be sure to check out our Events Calendar and sign-up for our Hope Church E-Newsletter to get notifications about fun and rewarding events that will help your family follow Jesus together such as Vacation Bible School, Lock-Ins (for students), Missions Conference events, and much more!

Your Kids & Community Life

As you may have noticed as you go through our website, we place a large emphasis on following Jesus together in Biblical community. Kids and students are a vital part of our life together as a church, and so that is why we offer Bible Studies and Sunday School Classes for kids (ages 0-11) and students (ages 12-18) at different points throughout the year. In these groups, your family will have the opportunity to learn, serve and have some fun as a part of the life of Hope Church. For more information about what Bible Studies and Small Groups are currently being offered, please visit our Bible Studies and Sunday School Classes page.

How Can I Know My Kids Are Safe At Hope Church?
The safety of your family is paramount to Hope Church. We know that you as a loving and responsible parent want to make sure your child is protected from every kind of danger, and so we at Hope Church want to let you know about some of the steps we have taken to ensure the well-being of your family:

Our Staff & Volunteers

Every Children’s Ministry Team-Member and Bible Study and Small Group Leader at Hope Church is screened through a multi-step approval process that includes a background check which reviews the National Criminal Database and the National Sex Offender registry. This background check also includes Social Security Number Verification and Address History, as well as a search for any Alias Names.

Additionally, Hope Church provides its staff and volunteers with regular Safe Place training to help provide the safest possible experience for your family.

Two-Adults At All Times

Hope Church maintains a strict two-adult rule during its children programming. In a nutshell, this means that your child will not be left alone with just one approved Hope Church staff or volunteer during your visit.

Security Labels

During the check-in process, you will receive a Security Label at our Children’s Ministry Check-In Station (located in the lobby), and your child will receive a Check-In Label that will be placed on their back just below the shoulders.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU KEEP YOUR SECURITY LABEL. In addition to needing your Security label to check-out your child(ren), the security code on your label (which does not state any information about your child) will be used to notify you if we need you to come and assist with your child during the service.

Additionally, your child’s Check-In Label will let our volunteers and staff know if your child has any special needs (such as allergies, medical conditions, ASD, etc.) we should be aware of to help give your child the best (and safest) experience possible.

How Do I Sign-Up My Kids?
Whether we’re talking about an infant or a young adult, just download the Hope Church Parental Consent Form in the upper-right hand corner of this web page, complete and sign it, and bring it with you to the event your child will be participating in.
